Blayney Wind Farm consists of 15 Vestas V47-660kW wind turbines. This is the same technology used at Tararua Stages 1 & 2 in New Zealand, but as the site has much lower wind speeds it results in less wear and tear on the turbines.
Each turbine is 45 metres high with a rotor diameter of 47 metres.
“With proven turbine technology and the support of Vestas for maintenance services, Blayney continues to perform reliably as one of Australia's earliest wind farms.”
