Tilt Renewables is committed to sharing the benefits of our projects with the local and regional community. While renewable energy brings environmental benefits, the Silverton Wind Farm also brings employment opportunities and a community benefits plan that aims to strengthen the local community.

Benefits

The Silverton Wind Farm has created 10 ongoing full-time jobs in the community.

The Project also injects funds into the local community through payments to involved landholders, use of local goods and services and community fund contributions

The Silverton Wind farm can generate enough renewable energy to power up to 98,000 homes.

The Silverton Wind Farm Community Enhancement Program includes:

  • Silverton Community Fund (see below)
  • Solar Silverton Program with leaseholders and residences within 10 kilometres of the wind farm offered a 5kw solar system
  • Water Tank Program with all residences within 10 kilometres of the wind farm offered a rainwater tank
