We are committed to delivering enduring economic, environmental, and social benefits for the local community through the life of this project.

The Nonowie Wind Farm will bring direct and indirect employment opportunities.

Typical goods and services likely to be sourced locally during construction include accommodation, engineering, freight services, construction materials and equipment, local labour, technical contractors, earth works services, fencing and landscaping.

The types of jobs typically created during construction include:

• Domestic scale electricians
• Transport operators
• Competent machine operators
• General labourers
• Quarries
• Concrete suppliers
• Accommodation providers

Procurement is not done directly by Tilt Renewables however we regularly share the Goods and Services Register with our relevant project delivery partners.

We offer short and long-term community benefits to local individuals, organisations and businesses including community-run organizations, underrepresented groups, First Nation communities, landcare initiatives, youth and jobseekers.

In 2024, we delivered funding to multiple organisations within the local community. These include:

• The Whyalla Business and Tourism Annual Awards and Dinner ($3,000)
• Whyalla Wellness Weekend ($3,000)
• Whyalla Men’s Shed ($500)
• ‘The Haven’ Centacare ($500)
