Central Midlands Wind Farm

Tilt Renewables is developing the Central Midlands Wind Farm in the Wheatbelt region of Western Australia.

Tilt Renewables is investing in Western Australia’s renewable energy future as the largest owner of wind and solar generation in Australia. This is our second project in the state, with the nearby Waddi Wind Farm entering construction earlier this year.

The project has a potential capacity of up to 1,100 MW, capable of strengthening energy security for up to 650,000 Western Australian homes.

The project is in an area with high wind speeds, approximately 140km north of Perth on the lands of the Yued people near Moora. Click here to view a map showing the area of investigation.

The project team has undertaken investigations over several years to confirm the site’s suitability for a wind farm. The project remains subject to further development studies, assessment and approval before it can be constructed.

We are committed to being a positive community member and working closely with local organisations to provide support that can make a difference for the Moora community. You can expect to see our team in the area over the coming months as we continue to develop the project.

We recently reached an important development milestone by making an application to the Shire of Moora for the installation of up to four meteorological masts to measure wind conditions.

We expect to share more information about the installation of the meteorological masts later this year, subject to approval of the application.
