Palmer Wind Farm – Successful CIS Submission

Tilt Renewables is thrilled to announce our successful submission in the Capacity Investment Scheme (CIS) tender process for the Palmer Wind Farm project.

The Palmer Wind Farm, a proposed 288MW project near Palmer and Tungkillo in South Australia, will generate enough clean energy to power 142,000 homes and reduce emissions by 212,000 tonnes annually.

Our achievement in this competitive tender process underscores our dedication to delivering best practice social and economic benefits for local communities, First Nations people, and Australian industries, demonstrating the projects potential to create significant environmental and community benefits.

A huge thank you and well done to the many teams at Tilt Renewables and our partners who worked on this submission!

Tilt Renewables has a long history of supplying South Australian customers with clean energy since the 100MW Snowtown Wind Farm was commissioned in 2008 and we are excited at the opportunity to expand our presence in the state with Palmer Wind Farm.

As the largest wind operator in Australia, generating 4.1TWh of clean energy in 2024, Tilt Renewables is proud to continue developing projects that contribute to the Australian Government’s ambitious goal of achieving 82% renewable electricity by 2030.
