Leading Australian-owned renewable energy business Tilt Renewables, the largest owner of wind and solar generation in Australia, strongly supports the Government's new measures to help landowners make better-informed decisions on how to benefit from the clean energy transformation.
This includes the new Developer Rating Scheme to encourage best-practice engagement and inform landowners about reputable project developers.
Tilt Renewables CEO Anthony Fowler said the new measures would help to provide important transparency to landowners who were considering making their properties available for renewable energy development.
"As one of Australia's leading renewable energy operators, Tilt Renewables is committed to fair and transparent relationships with landowners, so we support these measures to provide landowners with more confidence in their dealings with energy companies, " Mr Fowler said.
"Reputable operators will welcome these new measures to better equip landowners to negotiate fair agreements when it comes to making their land available for energy developments.
"Tilt Renewables understands the vital importance of transparency and fairness in these negotiations and will always ensure landholders have the information and the tools they require to make sound decisions. Tilt Renewables is pleased to confirm we will participate in the new Developer Rating Scheme."
The voluntary scheme will provide transparency over the types of people landowners are dealing with when it comes to renewable development.
