Liverpool Range Wind Farm

The Liverpool Range Wind Farm will help reduce Australia’s carbon footprint by approximately 2.5 million tonnes every year while supplying enough power for up to 570,000 dwellings across NSW. With more clean, renewable energy powering the state, the Project will contribute to driving down the cost of electricity, while bringing jobs and economic development to the region.

The Liverpool Range Wind Farm was first approved by state and federal governments in 2018. Tilt Renewables acquired the Project in 2019 and while working closely with host landowners, neighbours and the community, has continued to refine and optimise the layout to take advantage of improvements in wind turbine technology. The latest turbines, while larger, are more efficient, meaning the Project could be built with fewer turbines.

In September 2022 a Modification Application was submitted to the NSW Department of Planning and Environment, now named Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure (DPHI), for the Liverpool Range Wind Farm (Mod-1 Project). In response to submissions received during the public exhibition period we have made a number of changes to the Project. These changes are reflected in the Response to Submissions (RTS) Report, the Amendment Report and updated environmental impact assessments, all of which are available to view on the NSW Major Projects portal.

Our Modification Application has now been approved by DPHI, and the amended development consent was granted on 23 October 2024.
